Serving his time as a welder at Camell Lairds Ship Builders in Birkenhead and then onto different welding projects on a number of the main coal fired power stations being built across the country at the time.
Setting up the business in 1963 and moving into the construction of fire escapes nationwide for quite some time, RENROH then expanded into the thriving Wrought Iron market of the 60's and 70's. Moving into the steel security market in the eighties at the time of the tragic Toxteth Riots. A lot of shops at this time were secured with RENROH's Sliding Grille System, a product more typically associated with the industrial sector.
Not wanting the business to remain stagnant, an opportunity arose to provide Perimeter Security Fencing to Wavertree Technology Park. David developed a quick erect fencing system called Renlock Speed Fencing, and set about manufacturing and installing over a mile of fenceline.
